Winter hiking – experience the wonderful Winter landscape

The snowy mountain landscape can be even more intensely experienced far away from the colourful goings-on on the ski slopes.
Silently walking through the enveloped scenery, delighting in the sight of bright ice crystals in the sunlight and inhaling the cold, clear air – an experience for all nature-lovers.
And after your walk, lodges along the cleared paths invite you to linger for a while with a glass of Glühwein (hot red wine) and enjoy the social life.

Racines: Winter hikes on the Telf Alms (Take a toboggan with you!)

From Telves di Sopra (Obertelfes) in the Ridanna valley starting from forst trail towards Monte Cavallo, after approx. 45 minutes a snow-cleared, slightly upward sloping forest path turns off to the right, (signpost Freund Alm) which you walk along for about half an hour. The path ends at a small clearance where several forest paths meet. Now a steep ascent on the right (again, signpost Freund Alm), approx. 20 minutes to the lodge.

Hiking time: 3 hours
Tobogganing time: 15 min.
Height difference: 650 m
